Harbour Hours:  The Harbour is on its Fall Hours. The Harbour Office, service dock and assistance is available 7 days a week from 8am to 4pm.

Social Update:  Thornbury Yacht Club's last dock party of this season was a great success. Mother Nature smiled on us with warm temperatures and sunny skies. The burgers and variety of salads were admired and enjoyed. A big thank you goes to Ruth Hayworth for keeping track of members and guests. Also to Wendy Hatley for bringing her own knife and chopping raw onions and to Bev Forgot and Dana Johnston for slicing tomatoes and to any others who helped out. Lastly to Rene Koningen for persisting through wind blowing smoke in his face until every burger was cooked and everyone fed. A last fun evening on the dock supported by club members who all contribute to making us a wonderful Club to belong to. Thanks everyone.

Harbour Update

As of September 11, 2019 the water level is 125cm above chart datum.

With the fall weather approaching, please make sure that your Furled Head Sail is tighten down when you leave your vessel to prevent sail damage.

Harbour staff would like to thank all who donated to the Power Squadron Life Jacket drive this summer.  In total, the Thornbury Harbour collected 106 life jackets.  The goal throughout Ontario was 500 life jackets, a goal that was hit and surpassed with the generosity of our community.

Harbour fall hours began Tuesday September 3, 2019 and are 8am to 4pm 7 days a week.  If you require service outside of these hours, please contact us and we will try and accommodate your request.

With Labour weekend over, our students are back to school.  Kenny will be covering the weekends with Michelle returning when possible.

As friendly reminder that dinghies stored in alcove on the south end of the harbour need to be removed Thanksgiving Weekend.  Harbour staff will be removing portions of E dock to prepare for haul out and storing these dock sections in the alcove on Tuesday October 15, 2019.  Cradles will arrive before the Thanksgiving Weekend for set up before haul out.
