Racing Round Up

Meaburywood

The Meaburywood was very well attended with 20 boats registering. Thank you to Meaford for hosting this year. The weather was perfect for a big sailing race, at least for us on Nessie! Congratulations to CYC for winning, …by 1 point! - all the more reason to get more TYC boats on the line. The more representation we have the better we will do. If you are interested in taking part next year let us know. Full results are here: https://www.sailwave.com/results/MBW2019.htm

JAZ Single Handed race

This year is the 10 year anniversary of the JAZ Single Handed race. Unfortunately the weather did not co-operate and for safety reasons the race was postponed. The plan is to race back-to-back on Saturday September 21st.

Upcoming Races

Saturday the 14th is the Rhoda Ironside Long Distance race. Skippers meeting is at 08:30 hrs. That is 1 hour earlier than normal. See you there!

First Pub Night Scheduled – Nov 17 at 4pm – Corner Cafe – TYC Reads – "Ready To Come About"

Sue (the author) and David (her husband) will have a brief presentation about their two transatlantic crossings made in an Alberg 37, what led to the trip, and what they learned from it. Sue's book is called "Ready to Come About", and it will be available through Jessica's Book Nook in Thornbury. Sue will be doing readings from the book. Books will also be available for sale and signing at the event.
