THE LASERS ARE COMING! THE LASERS ARE COMING!
On July 12, 13, 14 - the Thornbury Laser Group will host: The 2019 Great Lakes Laser Regatta Festival. Members who have reviewed the 2019 TYC Operating Budget will have noticed a $5000 increase in revenue and $5000 increase in expenses for the Laser Regatta. The TYC bank account will be used to receive registration fees and to offset expenses for the event. There will be NO COST to TYC members - as confirmed by the Laser Regatta Organizing Committee: Ted Squires, James Palmer, Steve Wimmer, Andi Kleiser and Mark Beaton.
The regatta involves three separate Laser racing events, starting on July 13. On July 12, there is a full day of practice races and training with coaches. We are anticipating 40 to 50 boats - perhaps more if the youth teams attend. Stay tuned for more details, starting with a presentation to the club at Saturday's AGM.
THE WI-FI OF YOUR DREAMS
In the last 12 months the Bridge has been working with local technology provider, John Harbarenko of NERDS ON SITE, to assess our existing network and recommend what we need in order to deliver on our goal of building a reliable, safe and secure Wi-Fi network for members.
We will present the proposed improvements during the AGM.
