BUMP & GRIND
MARSH STREET CENTRE, MARCH 16th
This coming Saturday will be our last Pub Night until… November? That's good news, because it means we'll be hanging out in the harbour in just a few weeks time. So, don't miss this chance to share the anticipation with fellow members over a drink and some mind-expanding thoughts on Boat Buying And Selling - The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. That's the provocative topic of the talk by Shawn Bannon of Navy Point Yacht Sales that will start the Pub Night at 4:00pm. Shawn has tales to tell about what can go right (and also what can go wrong) when buying or selling a boat. You don't wanna know… but you do!
ANDI WENT TO TOWN
You'll remember that The Town of the Blue Mountains elected a new Mayor and council back in October. On Monday, March 11, Commodore Andi made a 10-minute presentation to the town's new council. He presented a little bit of history, a little bit of member demographics, and spread some goodwill by showing how our club plays its part in what one councilor described as 'the jewel' of Thornbury - the harbour. After the presentation, Ryan Gibbons, Director of Community Services, offered up that our club is an important part of the harbour community, and "it's an absolute pleasure to work with TYC".
All good. Thanks, Andi.
