Racers from Thornbury performed well last Saturday and together won the Clare Norris Trophy which is awarded to the winning team of the Meaburywood Race. Steven Wimmer will have all the details for us at the Fall Dinner but this is good news and we couldn't wait to tell you! The barbeque following in the pavilion was well attended and a huge success, special thanks to barbeque hosts Ruth and Glenn Hayworth (Second Quest).
The Notice of the Fall Meeting of Members was sent out to all members earlier today. The meeting is being held on Saturday October 14th at 3pm at the Recreation Centre at Lora Bay. Full details were in the email, is in the 'News' section on the web site home page and is posted on the Club's bulletin board.
Haul Out forms will be sent out to everyone later this week. Watch your -in-box'. Haul Out is on Friday October 13 and Sunday October 15. Forms with payment will be due back by October 1st.
Mast Storage: If you take your mast down and store it off your boat; please do not put your masts inside the pavilion until after the workparty has taken the sides down for cleaning and winter storage.
Harbour Hours: The Harbour is now on its Fall Hours. The Harbour Office, service dock and assistance is available 7 days a week from 8am to 4pm.
Summer was slow to start but this week it feels like it is finally here! Let's keep this feeling going....the theme for this Fall's End of Season Banquet is 'Beach Party'. Come dressed for the beach...or for a banquet, whichever you choose.
The location for this year's party is close at hand. Maiolo's overlooking the harbour is the venue. Cocktails at 6 with dinner to follow. Hopefully it is nice weather and we can at least start on the patio.

How far did you cruise this summer? Send your mileage (in nautical miles) to Doug Johnston at firstname.lastname@example.org if you qualify for a distance flag. Flags are awarded for 300-599 NM (bronze); 600-999NM (silver); and 1000NM + (gold). Flags are given out at the Fall dinner.
If you are attending the Wine'd Up Dock Party this coming Saturday - have a great time. Yolanda Pandolfo and Jamie Gardner are hostiing a fish fry at the dock. Thanks to everyone who has RSVP'ed, it is going to be a great turn out.
