Coffee With the Bridge Follow-Up

As you have read in the e-blasts, the Bridge has embarked on a strategic planning process to identify a vision for the next five years and an action plan to get there.

They began this process in the spring by completing a survey which was then followed by four work sessions with the entire Bridge and one additional work session with the Past Commodore, Commodore and Vice Commodore. The process, Mission and Vision has been presented to the members at the Coffee with the Bridge and to the Past Commodores.

At this point, the Bridge has identified the strengths and weaknesses of the Bridge, membership and Club as a whole; and the Opportunities and Threats that face the Club externally. This set the stage for formalizing a mission for TYC (while maintaining the Objects of the Articles of Incorporation) and verbalizing a five year vision.

The next steps are to confirm the Values of the Club and to have a sub-committee of the Bridge apply these Values to a list of possible action items in order to identify the Action Plan that should be pursued. The Bridge hopes to present their progress at the Fall Meeting of Members.

If you missed the Coffee with the Bridge presentation, click here for a document  outlining the progress to date.
