This is an event not to be missed. Great if you have children, grandchildren and friends and neighbours to bring....equally great if you come yourself with your inner child! Activities are for adults and children. Come when you can and stay for the afternoon/evening.
There is no cost to attend, but please RSVP so that the organizers have some idea of the numbers.
Meet at the launch ramp by the Harbour Masters Office. Don't have a laser, don't dispair. Steven Wimmer will be taking out the Limestone and folks wanting to try out a laser can do a 'transfer at sea' to give it a whirl. PLease bring your own lifejacket.
Bring your own lunch and join fellow members in the pavilion for a picnic lunch
Right after lunch come to watch, cheer and to try your hand at a remote control sailboat. Have your own boat? be sure to bring it! Have another type of remote control boat - bring it as well!
Come with your own team or join with another. Try your hand at boat building with 'mystery products'. Teams with one or more children will have a better handicap for the prize categories. Prizes for looks...and performance.
A variety of boats on A, B, C and D docks will be open for touring, our own 'Boat Show'. Boats will be identified with balloons and a list will be provided. Appetizers will be available on the participating boats.
While you are touring and snacking, children are invited to come for a variety of old fashioned carnival activities under the direction of Jenn Perks. If children are under 8, please have a parent or adult stay with them. Please meet on the grass by A dock (if raining, meet in the pavilion)
Barbeque sausage on a bun, caesar salad, chips and dessert are provided. Please register on-line for this so that we ensure we have enough BBQ. What is a barbeque without s'mores? Bring your own marshmellow sticks and make a s'more after dinner is over.
If you have an instrument, please bring it along! Stay and enjoy the musical talents of TYC members.
